I spent the day yesterday reading the account of your mother's history and was so impressed with all the work and research you have done. It is a great site and I hope to spend many more hours poring over it. I was amazed to find just how many families the Lekias family is connected to - my father-in-law's mother was one of 3 sisters who came here - their maiden names were Hatzimichael, or Hatzimikalaki. They married Lekias, Barboutis and Cajaglis and so there is an ever widening circle. Thank you for permitting me to view your website.

I came across your site while googling my family name and hoping for some hidden gems. That I found in your site. You have brought the past to life with your personal and family history. Sorry for your loss of your mother. Its obvious she was a very special person. I've read only a few pages amd I'm looking forward to reading more. My family is from the village of Vasara in the southern peloponese. There are a number of people from the village living in Melbourne - I've been fortunate to meet some of them during summers spent in the village.
