Father in Law's name- Became Michael Peros in the US. His oldest brother came to US first. Name Demetres

Both immigrated to the US from Kastellorizo. There were 12 children in the family and several (at least one) migrated to Australia. Their father's name was Constantine. The original last name was Papademitriou/s. They left the island prior to 1913. We do know that at least 1 brother came to western Australia and we think he had 2 sons. The oldest would have been named Constantine. Names get changed, especially in English speaking countries. If you know of anyone who has any information, please have them contact me at my e mail address.

I just sign in your site and I'm going to explore it.
I,m going to Kastellorizo every year and if you want I can send you many photos from the island.
By the way, I am grand son of Christina Diamantara, first daughter of Panagiota Mavrou (born 1880)who married Nikolao Diomatari and had 7 kids.Some of them migrated to Australia,three of them after Egypt returned to Greece. I have full genealogical tree with some photos.
If you are interested I can upload them.

Havent been on here for ages. Site looking great and glad to see cousins Alec, Katerina and Amanda have been busy updating the Protomastorou family tree.

Some photgraphs appeared in a history book about the Empire Patrol. There were two photographs of groups of people, but the author was unable to name all of them. My mother appears in those photographs (Kyriaki Passa). Apparently the photos are in the British museum. Does anyone have any contacts?

Hello All, I live in the town of Kaş, Turkey and am looking at Castellorizo (Meis) as I type. I go across on a visa run every 3 months and pick up my much needed 'fix' of bacon and pork sausages. See you there one of these days.

Its l2 months since I found this site.
